Expressing grief over the death of miners and the manager of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), the GM said: "it is extremely sad that an outsourced employee, including two officers, were killed in the incident. The Singareni manager will be indebted to the families of the victims and help them in every possible way."
The Singareni employees mourned the death of Area safety officer Jayaraju, deputy manager Tejawath Chaitanya Teja and outsourced employee T Srikanth, at the Singareni Bhavan here on Saturday.
He further said that the Singareni employees and officials are extracting coal putting their lives at risk in extreme conditions.
NV Rajasekhara Rao, Coal Mine Officers Association General Secretary said that Jayaraju had alerted the workers and sent them away in anticipation of the disaster, six workers were saved at the cost of their own lives in the rescue process.
