TiE Hyd to raise Rs 15 crore for rural innovators
TiE Hyderabad Chapter has announced rural innovator programme during the inauguration of TiE Sustainability Summit (TSS) 2021 held here on Monday.

Hyderabad: TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Hyderabad Chapter has announced rural innovator programme during the inauguration of TiE Sustainability Summit (TSS) 2021 held here on Monday.
It will raise Rs 15-crore grant to guide, mentor and support the rural innovators. Through this summit, it is trying to bring in the best possible entrepreneurial spirit into sustainability.
Suresh Raju, Conference Co-Chair of TSS 2021, said: "130 members of TIE Hyderabad volunteer to spend time to create next level of entrepreneurs. We want to give back to the bottom of the pyramid by helping the rural innovators through investment creation, and designing their operational efficiencies at the rural level."
This mentorship programme could bring a key change among the rural innovators from local to get bigger to global standard, he said citing the incredible journey of "Araku Coffee Co-founder Manoj Kumar from tribal village in Andhra Pradesh to Paris market in France" as an example of successful innovator from rural areas.
TiE Global trustee Kali Prasad Gadiraju says, Unless we bring transformation in rural areas, the sustainable development is not possible in the country. TiE Hyderabad wants to contribute and promote innovation in the rural areas.
A significant part of Rs 15-crore grant money is already tied up. In next few months, we will be talking to more corporates to raise further money.
These funds will be deployed in rural areas to support the best rural innovators. With the contributions coming from TiE national and global members, the initiative is likely to grow bigger over a period of time.''
