A few days ago, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) directed all telecom companies to introduce recharge plans exclusively for calling and SMS, catering to users who do not require data services. In response, Jio has launched two new voice-only recharge plans, offering extended validity and essential communication benefits.
Jio's New Voice-Only Recharge Plans
Jio has introduced two affordable prepaid plans tailored for users who rely solely on calling and SMS. These plans provide long-term validity, ensuring seamless communication without data expenses.
₹458 Plan: Valid for 84 days; this plan includes unlimited calling, 1,000 free SMS, and complimentary access to Jio Cinema and Jio TV. Users can make unlimited calls across all networks in India, with free national roaming.
₹1,958 Plan: With a validity of 365 days, this plan offers unlimited calling, 3,600 free SMS, and free access to Jio Cinema and Jio TV for entertainment.
Jio Discontinues Two Old Plans
Alongside the introduction of these new plans, Jio has removed its ₹479 and ₹1,899 recharge plans. Previously, the ₹479 plan offered 6GB of data with 84 days of validity, while the ₹1,899 plan provided 24GB of data for 336 days.
With these latest offerings, Jio aims to cater to non-data users by providing cost-effective communication solutions with long-term benefits.
