Airtel is addressing the lack of 5G availability in India by introducing new data booster packs. These additional features offer unrestricted access to 5G for users with lower-cost plans, resolving the issue of recent price increases that limited 5G connectivity to more expensive options.

Airtel is now providing unlimited 5G data booster packs at three different price points: Rs 51, Rs 101, and Rs 151. This initiative aims to enhance the accessibility of 5G technology. These packs are designed for users who have subscribed to plans with daily data allowances of either 1 GB or 1.5 GB. Previously, these plans did not offer unlimited access to 5G.

Airtel has confirmed in a press release that customers who are on plans that do not offer unlimited 5G connectivity will have the option to access 5G services by purchasing booster packs. This initiative follows the implementation of price increases on both prepaid and postpaid plans by Airtel, as well as other leading telecom providers in India. These price increases limited access to unlimited 5G to only plans that provide a minimum of 2GB of data per day, which means that users who are mindful of their budget no longer have the option to use 5G.

The new booster packs offer both unrestricted 5G data and supplementary 4G data in addition to the user's current plan. The pack priced at Rs 51 offers an additional 3GB of 4G data, the pack priced at Rs 101 provides 6GB, and the pack priced at Rs 151 includes 9GB. The validity of these booster packs corresponds with the user's current plan, guaranteeing a smooth and uninterrupted experience.

An example from Airtel illustrates this point: ‘’Let's say you're paying 929 rupees for a 90-day plan that expires on October 15 and grants you 1.5 GB of 4G data per day. The unlimited 5G connectivity support, available with the Rs. 101 unlimited booster pack today, will be valid until October 15.’’
