Synchrony joins United Way to improve govt hospitals' infra
The equipment granted will be distributed among key tertiary and specialty hospitals to deal with critical Covid patients

Hyderabad: SYNCHRONY, a consumer financial services company has partnered with the United Way of Hyderabad (UWH) and United Way of Mumbai (UWM) to help improve healthcare infrastructure providing critical care to those in need.
This Synchrony grant enables UWH to provide Telangana State Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporations (TSMSIDC) in Adilabad district the following equipment: 24 multipara monitors, 5 para cardiac monitors Scanray-TrueScan S500, 100 CPAP machines, 2,970-NRBM masks, 1,50,000 RAT Kits, 40oxygen concentrator-10L,220 oxygen flowmeter, 220B-Type oxygen cylinders and a RNA extractor, a statement said.
The equipment purchased using the grant was presented to Chandrasekhar Reddy, MD, TSMSIDC. Joining him from Synchrony were Gangadharabhatla, vice president, Human Resources Asia and Diversity, Recruitment COE Leader, and Ramesh Kambhampati, vice president, Finance, as well as representatives from UWH.
The equipment willbe distributed to help improve critical careinfrastructure at key tertiary and specialty hospitals like Gandhi, TIMS, Osmania, Niloufer, Chest Hospital, and NIMS to deal with critical Covid-19 patients and post Covid-19 complications.
The company also extended support through a grant to UWM to improve public healthinfrastructureand support low-income communities in the Mumbai metropolitan region. This will enable UWM toprovide 35 Fowler beds, 13 oxygen concentrators, 6,000 PPE kits, and 17,500 N-95 masks totwo hospitals in Mumbai.
In addition, to assist families suffering from the loss of income faced bycommunities due to the pandemic, 626 families of daily wage earners, small business owners, andself-employed persons will be provided with family essentials kits.
These kits will consist of food andhygiene items to suffice a family of 4-5 members for a month, the finance company said.
