Sykes opens 4th centre in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: SYKES, a US based BPO company, opened its fourth centre here with a workspace of 44,000 sq feet. The company also offers an addition of 800 jobs in the next 12 months.

This will be their sixth centre in the country and the second space opened since the lockdown. This expansion adds another 500 seats to its existing team of 2,000 employees, accommodating its rapidly growing workforce in the country.

The company creates customer experiences and serves clients and brands for varied industries, including banking, communication, technology, telecom, retail, and businesses through multiple channels. It is also focused on building employee-centric facilities that promote an environment conducive to working, learning, and growing professionally in the BPO industry.

"Amidst the pandemic, Sykes India has experienced rapid growth based on servicing strategic clients who have played important roles in supporting customers during the global lockdown," said, Dishant Bhojwani, Head, Sykes India.

"The client's explosive customer growth has fuelled our business, which has required Sykes' continued expansion in the country to keep pace with demand. We have a strong focus in India and despite the challenges of operating during the pandemic, we still managed to nearly double our employee count from 2019. And yet, we believe that we are still early in our growth journey," he added,
