Visakhapatnam: IN response to a call by All India Steel Workers Federation (AISWF) for a nationwide steel workers' protest in SAIL, RINL and mines, AITUC and YSR Trade Union Congress staged a dharna at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant demanding immediate wage revision.
Employees under aegis of Visakha Steel Workers Union (AITUC) and its allies YSRTUC and VSP Employees' Union sought pay revision due since 2017, job and ex-gratia to those who lost battle against Covid-19 and payment of production incentive and its arrears from April, 2020. They also sought immediate pmay revision to the contract workers.
AITUC general secretary D Adinarayana, YSRTUC general secretary Y Mastanappa and Steel AITUC additional general secretary J Ramakrishna, participated.
