Steel Secy for RINL to optimise productivity to become as India's best plant
On his maiden visit to Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Nagendra Nath Sinha, Union Steel Secretary visited various production units like coke oven battery 5, blast furnace 2 & 3, SMS-2, new air separation unit, wire mill 2 on Tuesday and exuded confidence on future of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

Visakhapatnam On his maiden visit to Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Nagendra Nath Sinha, Union Steel Secretary visited various production units like coke oven battery 5, blast furnace 2 & 3, SMS-2, new air separation unit, wire mill 2 on Tuesday and exuded confidence on future of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
Accompanied by senior officials, Sinha also visited the model room and awards gallery.
Among others,
Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL, D.K. Mohanty, Director (Commercial), A.K. Bagchi, Director (Projects) and additional charge Director (Operations), Dr. S.C. Pandey, Director (Personnel) and additional charge Director(Finance) and several senior officials were present.
Later he reviewed the performance of RINL with the CMD, Directors and other senior officials. The Secretary complimented that RINL is a very clean plant and is equally loved by its employees.
Sinha wished RINL will be able to optimise its productivity to emerge as nation’s best steel plant. During his interaction with Steel executive association, various trade unions, OBC association, SC/ST associations, Sinha complimented the RINL Collective for its effort in maintaining the plant very clean and neat.
He also assured that he will look into the various concerns expressed by them.
Dr. S. Karuna Raju, Chief vigilance officer, RINL also interacted with Sinha.
