In a bid to steer the startup ecosystem in the country, the Department of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is set to launch -The Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR) initiative, under the flagship Startup India program today.
Within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the platform aims to streamline, centralise and collaborate startups, investors, mentors, service providers and government bodies. It will offer features including networking and collaboration while laying emphasis on creating personalised identification and discoverability enhancement.
The commerce ministry said that there are close to about 1,46,000 DPIIT-recognised startups in the country, which will facilitate BHASKAR to provide an all-encompassing and one-stop digital platform that will address challenges of entrepreneurs and investors. The ministry also added that by making an efficient and collaborative environment, BHASKAR is set to redefine the country's startup ecosystem.
Each stakeholder will be given a personalised BHASKAR IDs. which will thereby allow seamless interaction and searchability to allow efficient discovery of relevant opportunities.
