Hyderabad: Learning Links Foundation (LLF), a not-for-profit organisation on Tuesday concluded its first skills programme held exclusively for People with Disabilities (PWDs), in the Telangana aerospace manufacturing sector. As part of the Learn and Earn initiative, the youth skilling programme was supported by Boeing and Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL).

The first batch had 17 trainees with speech and hearing impairment and locomotive disabilities. They underwent classroom training, followed by on-the-job training at TBAL. The curriculum focussed on developing skills in archiving, maintenance, inspection, stores, and safety audit domains for Foreign Object Debris (FOD) in the aerospace manufacturing sector. The programme provided these trainees with soft skills and deep learning experience which aids them in securing employment opportunities with various aerospace manufacturing, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) operating in Telangana. Upon completion of the training, all the trainees have been offered employment by TBAL.
