Seven Industrial Units Coming Up In TG, AP

New Delhi: In June, five companies evinced interest in setting up industrial plants in Telangana, whereas two in Andhra Pradesh. The manufactured products range from bioethanol, drugs, and confectionery to steel and commercial vehicles, official sources told Bizz Buzz.

The five units in Telangana are expected to be worth Rs2,061 crore and create 2,733 jobs. In the case of the two plants in Andhra Pradesh, there is expected to be a total investment of Rs310 crore and 265 employment opportunities.

These units filed Part-A of industrial entrepreneur memorandums (IEMs) with the central government, denoting intention to invest. Actual investments are signified by Part-B filings.

Apex Drugs Ltd, has shown interest to set up a 25-tonne factory at Medak in Telangana. The Mumbai-based Allana Consumer Products Private Limited also wants to set up a 73,000-tonne plant of extruded pet food at Medak.

Gadchii Steel & Power Private Ltd, which is based in Ranga Reddy district in Telangana, wants to establish a 1,005,000 TPA steel factory at the same place.

The Hyderabad-based company, Prayagh Consumer Care Private Ltd intends to invest in Ranga Reddy district for the production of 16,511 tons of sugar boiled confectionery and cakes.

Another Hyderabad-based HBL Power Systems Limited showed interest to have a plant in Medchal-Malkajgiri district in Telangana for manufacturing 5,000 commercial vehicles like vans, lorries, and over-the-road tractors.

HBL Power Systems Limited also wants a similar plant at Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh for the manufacture of same number of commercial vehicles.

The Hyderabad-based Crux Bioethanol India Private Ltd is the other company that wants to invest in Andhra Pradesh. At Krishna, it wants to set up a plant to produce 73 million litres of un-denatured ethyl alcohol of an alcoholic strength by volume of 80 per cent or higher, ethanol from raw materials like maize (corn), and DFG or damaged food grains (broken rice).
