Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnaman Steel Plant, which is popular for its products under the brand Vizag Steel, has played a significant role in building the Atal Setu Bridge.
The bridge-the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link costing over Rs.17,840 crore was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday
The bridge has bee renamed after late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
In a series of tweets, RINL said "proud to share that #RINL has played a crucial role in this marvel by contributing 11,600 metric tons of steel through L&T. Steel that binds dreams, progress & the Nation together."
The company said the 21.8 km long six-lane "AtalSetu is not just a bridge; it's a connection of hearts, dreams & steel. Let's continue to build a future where progress knows no bounds!"
In another tweet, RINL, a navratna company, said "AtalSetu gives a better connectivity to the proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport, Mumbai-Pune & Goa Highway. Together, we've built more than a bridge; we've constructed a symbol of progress & unity."
