Live Viewing Up 18% In 2024: BookMyShow

Hyderabad: BookMyShow, an online ticketing platform said that 30,687 live events were organised across 319 cities, registering 18 per cent growth in India’s live entertainment consumption in 2024. In the film category, Pushpa 2: The Rule, is the most-watched movie of the year drawing in 10.8 lakh solo viewers.

In addition, on the platform, 23 lakh tickets were sold in 24 hours on November 1, 2024, according to the year-end report, BookMyShow Throwback. The report further mentioned that in the re-release category, films like Kal Ho Na Ho, Rockstar and Laila Majnu, had wider audience.

Meanwhile, the international films which were blockbusters included Deadpool & Wolverine and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, wherein one cinephile has watched 221 movies this year.
