Hyderabad: RMT (Red Matter Technologies), an insight lead marketing strategy consultancy in its recently released report titled “Understanding Paid OTT Subscribers of Hyderabad” mentioned that only 14 per cent of Hyderabadis watch Telugu programmes on OTT while Hindi content leads by 52 per cent and English follows at 28 per cent.

The report’s key audiences are individuals active on the internet, spending on internet subscriptions, and are primarily working.

Shedding light on the viewing habits of subscribers of over-the-top (OTT) platforms in Hyderabad, the report states that regional players are struggling to gain penetration and affinity among people in this city. Among the female audience here, 60 per cent prefer Hindi and English content over Telugu.

“This report provides a valuable insight in the viewing habits of Hyderabad’s paid subscribers. Content creators get to understand their preferences and tailor their content accordingly. These insights will help our clients stay ahead of the curve and succeed in a rapidly evolving market,” Srikant Rajasekharuni, CEO of RMT said.
