KTR inaugurates IT tower in Siddipet town

Hyderabad: As a part of the Telangana government’s efforts to expand the IT sector beyond Hyderabad, Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao and Finance Minister T Harish Rao on Thursday inaugurated an IT tower in Siddipet. They handed over allotment letters to 17 companies that secured office space in the tower.
The Siddipet IT Towercomprises four floors that have been allocated to 17 companies. With a total of 720 seats available, the IT Tower can accommodate a workforce of up to 1,440 individuals, facilitating smooth operations in two shifts. This state-of-the-art facility serves as a hub for technology-driven enterprises, offering a conducive environment for innovation, collaboration and growth.
The State government'sefforts of expanding IT to Tier-II/Tier-III towns have become a reality now, driving economic growth and creating employment opportunities, an official release said.
The IT Minister spoke about the employment opportunities in the State, the ecosystem created to prepare students for the industry, and the development witnessed in Siddipet and throughout the state.
The Minister emphasized that there is plenty of talent and innovative spirit among youth who have pursued education in rural areas. The Telangana Academy of Skill and Knowledge (TASK) was established at the IT tower to address gaps in employability skills. KTR further mentioned that the IT tower in Siddipetwill be expanded, and a T-Hub centre will also be established.
Highlighting the abundance of opportunities, KTR mentioned that the State has attracted significant investments and companies. He emphasized the need for intellectual capability to seize these opportunities.
On the Telangana model of development, he stated that the State has witnessed holistic, integrated, balanced, and inclusive growth. Alongside the surge in the agricultural sector, IT exports have also increased. The State is actively conserving the environment, while simultaneously witnessing a rise in the number of industries.
Finance Minister Harish Rao said that the Chief Minister delivered on election promises, including a separate district for Siddipet, Godavari water, and a rail network for the district. He said that IT tower will provide employment opportunities to local youth.
