IOCL participates in 35th World LPG Association Forum

Hyderabad:The World LPG Association (WLPGA) organised its annual LPG Week in Rome recently. The event served as a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and exploration of the latest trends and challenges in the LPG sector. The 35th World LPG Association forum was themed as ‘Just Energy’ brought together over 300 companies from over 125 countries. Leadership of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) including V Satish Kumar, Director of marketing and Madhav Vaidya, Chairman of IOCL who also held the position of president of WLPGA for two consecutive terms participated in the forum. They emphasised on company’s commitment to driving positive change in the LPG industry through innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth, all while maintaining a keen focus on environmental considerations.
V Satish Kumar showcased the corporation’s unwavering commitment to global leadership in the LPG sector. Alongside global energy CEOs and the Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) he emphasized LPG as a clean and environmentally friendly fuel option. Additionally, Kumar highlighted the role of LPG in reducing carbon footprint, contributing to a more sustainable future, and underscored its critical impact on family health. He also drew the attention towards the success of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, a flagship initiative by the Government of India.
