Interviews for LIC MD post set for today

Mumbai: M Jagannath, the zonal head of South Central Zone of LIC is the one among the six EDs, who will be interviewed on January 30, for the post of MD of LIC by Financial Services Institution Bureau. Four other candidates being interviewed for the LIC MD post include Anju Bala Purshottam, Tables Pandey, Arju Lahiri and Rajiv Sachdeva.
However, sources revealed that the candidates have been invited for the interaction on their seniority basis.
The serving MD, Raj Kumar, who is currently on an extension, will be hanging up his boots on January 31. Another MD, BC Pattnaik will also be retiring within next few months. In case, the government appoints one of the serving MDs as chairman to replace, MR Kumar, whose term would be over in next couple of months, then another post of MD will become vacant at LIC. As of now, there are four MDs at the corporation.
