Visakhapatnam: TO tap new opportunities emerging in housing sector and the Andhra Pradesh Government setting in motion a grandiose plan to provide houses to all the poor people, the State chapter of India Housing Forum was launched here jointly on Thursday by Habitat for Humanity India and AP State Housing Corporation.
Cherukuvada Sri Ranganadha Raju, Minister for Housing, along with Ajay Jain, Special Chief Secretary, N Bharath Gupta, Managing Director, AP State Housing Corporation Ltd and Prakash Reddy, Advisor to the Chief Minister and others were present. The India Housing Forum, AP chapter is supported by Mahindra Home Finance, Ultratech Cement Private Ltd, Balmer Lawrie & Company Ltd, Svatantra Micro Housing Finance Corporation Limited, Roca Parryware, ESAF Small Finance Bank and Habitat for Humanity's Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter.
"The behemoth initiative of Navaratnalu Pedalandariki Illu envisioned by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is one of the largest comprehensive programme in the world to provide housing for over three million families from the economically weaker sections. This will be a stellar example of how a government-led programme on housing will holistically impact the people of AP.
