Housing Registrations Fall 12% In Hyd
Hyderabad: The overall volume of residential units registered in the city has dropped by six per cent in November 2024, and the value of properties registered has declined by three per cent, month-on-month (m-o-m).
According to a latest report released by Knight Frank India, Hyderabad registered a seven per cent year-on-year (YoY) and three per cent m-o-m decline in value of residential properties registered as homes worth Rs3,495 crore were registered in November 2024, as against Rs3,741 crore in the same period last year, and Rs3,617 crore in October 2024. During the same period, the number of residential units registered fell to 5,516, down by 12 per cent y-o-y and six per cent m-o-m, compared to 6,268 units in the same period last year and 5,894 units in October 2024.
Shishir Baijal, Chairman and Managing Director, Knight Frank India, said: “Overall property registrations in Hyderabad moderated in November 2024, but demand for high-value homes remains robust. Buyer preferences are shifting toward larger, premium properties priced above Rs1 crore. Developers are actively aligning with this trend by introducing upscale projects.”
The share of homes priced at Rs1 crore and above rose from 12 per cent to 14 per cent in November 2024, as against last year. In November 2024, majority of registered properties in Hyderabad were concentrated in the 1,000 to 2,000 sft range, accounting for 69 per cent of all registrations.
