Visakhapatnam: While welcoming the Union Budget 2025-26 thrust on sustainable urban growth, infrastructure and regional development, the office-bearers of Credai-Visakhapatnam have pleaded for more incentives for affordable housing and home loan interest exemptions.

They lauded the Union Budget 2025-26 as a “forward-thinking and visionary roadmap,” and said it will reinforce the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and sustainable urban growth.

“Credai believes the Budget reaffirms India’s path towards a ‘Vikasit Bharat’ with its focus on inclusive economic expansion. The increase in the income tax exemption limit to Rs 12 lakh and the hike in the TDS threshold on rent from Rs 2.4 lakh to Rs 6 lakh are expected to boost disposable income and consequently, housing demand and overall consumption,” they stated.
