ACCEI to host NATCON 2023 on July 17, 18 in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) - (ACCEI), Hyderabad Centre will host the National Convention of Civil Engineers (NATCON-2023) for two days on July 17 and 18 at HICC in Hyderabad. The theme of the convention is ‘Building Tall and Resilient – Rising High’.

Disclosing this at a press conference in the city on Friday, K Rajkumar, president, South India, ACCEI, said 600 delegates, 14 international and national speakers from over eight countries are expected to attend it.

NATCON will be a melting pot of ideas. Stalwarts from the industry will share views on the future of vertical urbanism, architecture, BIM, metaverse, sustainability, data-driven design, computational design, climate change, water conservation, AI, spaces, 3D printing, and robotic fabrication.

The participants include all stakeholders like architects, builders and developers, civil engineers, MEP consultants, government officials, real estate professionals, structural engineers, and students

The speakers include Jay Marshall Strabala, Design Partner and Founder, Strabala +Architecture; Dr Naveed Anwar, Senior Advisor to the President, Asian Institute of Technology; Prof Pennung Warnitchai, Structural Engineering expert; Dr Geoff Chao, Civil and Infrastructure Engineering expert; Dr. Narong Leungbootnak, Chairman, Future Engineering Consultant, Thailand; Thaung Htut Aung, Director, AIT Solutions; SM Zia Uddin, expert in Wind Tunnel Testing and Structural Health Monitoring, AIT Solutions; Mahesh Arumugam, Regional Director South Asia, Meinhardt; Prof. Suresh Narayana, Structural Fire Engineering; Gopakumar. G, expert in Vertical Transportation of tall buildings and Srinivas Valluri - MEP expert and CEO, Synergy Infra Consultants

A Kashiram, Chairman, Hyderabad Centre; J Bheem Rao, Secretary, Hyderabad Centre; C. Ramesh, Treasurer, Hyderabad Centre, and CH Narmada, Executive Committee Member and other all working committee members, were present at the press meet.

“The past decade has witnessed a tectonic shift in how constructions impact society, whether it's a residential project or an iconic landmark project. Innovation has become the most noticeable component and structural engineering experts, along with builders and designers have made tremendous progress in inventing and creating extraordinary buildings. The past couple of decades is a testament to the fact that civil engineering and parallel industries are instrumental in ground-breaking work in the field of construction,” the association said.

The Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) is a professional body of civil engineers founded in 1985. It has 39 centres all over India and about 8,000 members. It is the only organization that brings all civil engineers, government and its organizations, R&D institutions and academica under one roof.
