Wipro remains committed to ensuring employee contracts are upheld, a policy that will continue, according to Chairman Rishad Premji on July 18.

He stated that Wipro is very particular about enforcing signed contracts, and this approach will not change.

This follows the resignation of former CFO Jatin Dalal, who joined Cognizant, leading to a lawsuit from Wipro over a non-compete clause violation. The lawsuit was settled with Cognizant paying $505,087 to Dalal.

Regarding leadership turnover, Premji acknowledged that career advancements can lead to departures.

He emphasised that Wipro prides itself on fostering entrepreneurship and offering young employees growth opportunities in a decentralised environment.

This included the recent resignation of CEO Thierry Delaporte, with Srinivas Pallia being promoted to the role.

During the annual general meeting (AGM), Wipro’s CEO Pallia spoke about leveraging Generative AI for boosting productivity in its software development and managed services.
