Hyderabad WE-Hub and CII-IWN Telangana jointly launched the WE-Trade initiative to support women led startups in the buyer and seller segment to create B2B connections by providing a platform where their start-ups can showcase their products and services to the industry.

The launch session was addressed by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries and Commerce, government of Telangana. He said that that many start-ups are not able to get market access. The programme will provide the much-needed support to these start-ups.

Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chairman of CIES and Co-founder of Infosys Ltd, mentioned that WE-Trade initiative can be a transformative model for other states to emulate. Technology has played a level playing field for businesses and startups too can leverage the opportunity. Startups should be aspirational and create unique products which can be their differentiators in the global market.

Stressing on the importance to mentor and support startups, Gopalakrishnan mentioned that CII is trying to create a model where all established business should mentor a startup. He urged the women entrepreneurs to join the masterclass and mentoring initiatives of the CIES to understand the start-up ecosystem. He added that he is highly optimistic about the future of our country and Start-Ups will play an important role in the growth story. The Session was also addressed by Deepthi Ravula, CEO, WE-Hub and Purnima Kamble, Chairwoman, IWN Telangana.
