We bridge skill gaps through collaborations with global leaders like TemplateMonster, Weblium, RedHat, and MagLiteracy USA. Our vision is to digitally enable 1 million MSMEs over the next decade - M Satish Babu, Founder, Tech-Mark

Visakhapatnam: Hailing from a humble background, M Satish Babu completed his entire education at Eluru in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh and began his entrepreneurial journey with a first generation IT web, e-commerce company in Hyderabad in 2001, serving over 250 clients globally.

In his journey in providing various tech tools to MSMEs in India, he noticed the skill gap, along with his partners. Subsequently, his firm, which was started with just eight employees, has grown into 200, thanks to his global partners.

The Hyderabad-based firm Tech-Mark Pte Ltd, realising the importance of skill upgrade, in the course of providing digital solutions to the MSMEs mainly based in semi-urban areas, has taken up training programmes in Adoni in AP in association with APSCHE, tied up with a college in Kurnool and is now working on opening a training centre in Visakhapatnam. Satish Babu also established HODU Foundation to support students, who are unable to afford training fee.

As an entrepreneur and global collaborator for over two decades, he has witnessed at first-hand the evolving MSME ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. These two States, brimming with talent and potential, stand at the cusp of transformative growth, he told Bizz Buzz, declaring that passion and hardwork are the key to success for persons not having a godfather to groom them.

His collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh Government to host the Global Startup Expo showcased immense opportunities for MSMEs and startups to access markets and technology. Looking ahead, “we are proud to partner with the AP Ministry of MSME for the upcoming Global MSME Expo 2025, fostering innovation and partnerships at scale. However, challenges persist-access to affordable funding, workforce skill gaps, and the urgent need for digitalization in MSMEs to enhance productivity and market reach.”

He said in alignment with the MSME Minister’s vision, they are excited to pilot a digitization project for four key industries in Andhra Pradesh - handloom, textiles, khadi, and handicrafts. Subsidies from the Ministry of MSME and education can play a pivotal role in accelerating digital adoption and upskilling, especially in semi-urban and rural areas. Such support would empower youth to secure employment closer to their hometowns, fostering inclusive and sustainable growth, he opined.

“At Tech-Mark, we bridge these gaps through collaborations with global leaders like TemplateMonster, Weblium, RedHat, and MagLiteracy USA. Our initiatives combine international certifications, skill training, and innovative solutions to empower businesses and young talent. Our vision is ambitious: to upskill 10 million youth and digitally enable 1 million MSMEs over the next decade. By aligning with NEP 2020, organizing awareness programmes, and establishing world-class digital skill development centres, we strive to drive transformative change,” he declared.

Satish Babu said Telangana and Andhra Pradesh present remarkable opportunities, and with the right partnerships, MSMEs can truly become the backbone of a resilient and digital-first economy. “Our journey, from humble local beginnings to global collaborations, reflects what collaborative partnerships can achieve,” he declared.
