Ayushman Bharat Card

The advantages of Ayushman Bharat will now be accessible to all senior citizens aged 70 and above, regardless of their socioeconomic status, as the government has approved health insurance coverage under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY).

Ayushman Bharat: Who is Already Covered under the Scheme?

Senior citizens aged 70 and above who belong to families already covered under AB PM-JAY will receive an additional top-up cover of up to ₹5 lakh per year for themselves, separate from the coverage of family members under 70. This means they will have up to ₹5 lakh in extra insurance coverage annually, distinct from the other family members' plans. Eligible senior citizens will also be issued a new, unique card under AB PM-JAY.
