Haranadh takes over as Paradip Port Chairman

Visakhapatnam Senior IRTS officer P.L. Haranadh, who worked as the Deputy Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust from 20015 to 2020, has taken charge as the Chairman of Paradip Port Trust.
After taking over, he said his mission will be to elevate Paradip Port to No. 1 slot. Haranadh, who studied M.Sc and Phd at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Delhi belongs to the 1994 batch of IRTS. He played a key role in removing bottlenecks in improvement of techno-economic parameters of cargo handling at VPT as per recommendation of Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to ensure faster evacuation of cargo.
During 27 years of service, he worked on deputation in the Ministry of Shipping for five years. During his stint in Visakhapatnam as VPT Deputy Chairman M.T. Krishna Babu, a senior IAS officer, was the Chairman. During their tenure, VPT scaled up to third slot after Kandla and Paradip ports by relegating JNPT to fourth position.
