Global Maritime India Summit to highlight new opportunities
The event, scheduled for October 17-19 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, is aimed at unlocking the potential for new investment opportunities

Visakhapatnam Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) and other ports are getting ready to showcase their potential for augmenting existing infrastructure at the third edition of Global Maritime India Summit-2023.
Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal launched in Mumbai the curtain-raiser of Global Maritime India Summit (GIMS). The main event on Global Maritime India Summit will be held from October 17 and 19 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
All major port Chairpersons participated in the curtain-raiser through virtual mode. Dr M Angamuthu, Chairperson, VPA, along with Deputy Chairperson Durgesh Dubey, heads of the departments and senior officers participated.
The VPA Chairperson asked the port's stakeholders to participate and make the Global Maritime India Summit-2023 a grand success and informed that the event will be a platform for showcasing India's maritime sector that attracts and promotes India’s business in the world market.
The event is aimed at unlocking potential for new investment opportunities along with collaborations for knowledge and technology to enhance cooperation in trade and promote Ease of Doing Business (EODB).
The curtain-raiser event was successful in bringing together the key government officials, stakeholders, domain experts and visionaries in the maritime field to give them a glimpse about the significant event setting the stage for meaningful collaborations and strategic investment opportunities.
The summit is expected to provide an international market for key decision-makers and industry leaders, offer new opportunities to startups and youngsters, create awareness on use of new technologies, recognise achievers in maritime industry to make India a $5 trillion economy and give a fillip to industry-academia interactive programs.
