Kuberan's House is a TV reality show conceived as a platform to source and showcase innovative startup ideas from across India and help entrepreneurs get investment from the best panel of investors and venture capitalists, converting each of them into successful business ventures. In an exclusive interview with Bizz Buzz, Ranjith Royal, Co-Founder & COO, Kuberan's House, shares insights about his firm and its future course of action.

What is the idea behind the inception of the Kuberan's House?

India has the third largest startup ecosystem globally, with over 75,000 startups across 642 districts catering to 7.46 lakhs jobs. Kuberan's House was conceived to give a platform for these booming startups a chance to sell their idea, establish their startup and contribute to the Indian economy, thus supporting the government initiatives like Make In India and Startup India.

What are the USPs of Kuberan's House and what sector brands are they focusing on?

The people on the show make the Kuberan's House unique. Call him "Messiah of Migrants" or "Brother of Nation" Sonu Sood, who hosts the show, takes personal interest in helping people reach closer to their dream destination. Sonu Sood has also played a role in finding these startup gems from corners of India, to give them a well-deserved platform while stitching the gap between investors and ideators /entrepreneurs.

Despite the optimism of booming startups, running a successful startup in India remains a challenge. There are many startups but only a few startups that have reached their ultimate potential and survived the Covid pandemic. Many of the startups fail to get funding, adequate mentorship and market support to grow into a sustainable business.

How can entertainment shows/ brands strengthen the startup ecosystem in India?

Kuberan's House intends to bring the many talents, inventions and stories of the business and the startup world that has strayed away from the limelight of the GEC television. There will also be investors on the show who will share their moments, challenges and learnings from their business journey. Together, our show is helping bridge this gap between the ideators/ entrepreneurs and the VC world. The startups get nationwide coverage while it parallelly educates the viewers on business and entrepreneurship. The show is made simple, entertaining and consumable by anyone – be it a layman or a businessman.

What is road ahead for Kuberan's House and how it plans to strengthen the credibility of startup brands in India?

Kuberan's House has big plans for the startup world. The show is going to sporadically reach out to the nooks and corners of the country where Kuberan's House Regional is pipelined in different regions and languages like Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
