Hyderabad: FLO (FICCI Ladies Organisation) Hyderabad Chapter has collaborated with startup ecosystem enabler T-Hub to promote diversity and inclusivity in the startup ecosystem and empower women entrepreneurs. FLO Chairperson Ritu Shah and T-Hub CEO Srinivasa Rao Mahankali signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding), here on Tuesday.

This MoU will help FLO Hyderabad members with value-based professional support, and mentorship. Ritu Shah said, “This partnership will facilitate access to resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities for women entrepreneurs in Telangana. The objective is to create a more equitable ecosystem that promotes innovation and entrepreneurship among women in the State.”

On the same day, the FLO has organsied a panel discussion on “Empowering Women: The FLO Hyderabad and T-Hub Partnership for Diversity and Inclusion”. Jayesh Ranjan, IT & Industries Principal Secretary, Government of Telangana and Deepthi Ravula, CEO of We-Hub were present as the panelists at the discussion which was moderated by Ritu Shah.

Responding to a query, Jayesh Ranjan said: “Telangana government plans to expand the startup ecosystem to schools and students. Y Hub will address such needs. One of the young entrepreneurs in the T-Hub is 13 years old. The boy is doing research in robotics voice-activated support. Children can be problem solvers too. They are creative. They can bring in solutions if not age-appropriate solutions.”

He referred about another 8th-class boy, who was working on producing a ceiling fan that runs without using power. “Girls too can do in a similar way. Let us sow seeds of entrepreneurship in them from an early age. Children have an abundance of talent and it can be channelised,” Jayesh said.
