IndianOil Launches Phase IX Of ‘Prison To Pride’
Hyderabad: IndianOil continues its commitment to improving the lives of prison inmates and children in correctional homes with the launch of Phase IX of ‘Parivartan - Prison to Pride’ and Phase VI of ‘Nayi Disha - Redefining the Future’.
These initiatives, launched by IndianOil Chairman Mr. A S Sahney, will impact over 1,650 individuals across 28 prisons and 14 correctional homes, adding to the more than 7,300 lives touched in the past 38 months.
The programs offer inmates a second chance through sports and vocational training, aligned with IndianOil’s values of ‘Nation First’. Over the past three years, these projects have expanded to 150 locations across 29 states and union territories. Notably, IndianOil has also created job opportunities for former inmates through its Umeed – A Hope project, which has established fuel stations operated by former prisoners.
The ‘Prison to Pride’ initiative has received global recognition, with IndianOil’s chess program winning multiple awards, including the Chess for Freedom Award from FIDE. IndianOil’s work in this area highlights the transformative power of social responsibility and aims to help individuals reintegrate into society as productive citizens.
