Experts to meet in Vizag to discuss hydrogen economy

Visakhapatnam Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam is organising an Energy Environment Summit, namely ‘Hydrogen Energy Resource & Opportunity (HERO)-2023’ from July 24 to 26.
The summit will focus on hydrogen economy. It will be chartering the definition of hydrogen economy by deploying and identifying the research and development criticalities.
Pankaj Jain, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will deliver the keynote address. KS Jawahar Reddy, Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, K Vijayanand, Special Chief Secretary, Energy and Prof GK Surya Prakash, George A and Judith A Olah Nobel Laureate Chair in Hydrocarbon Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, University of Southern California, USA will be the special guests for the summit. Academicians from nationally and internationally reputed institutions, industry personnel from oil and energy sector and Government of India officials will participate.
An US delegation will also be a part of this event. The three-day summit is targeted to provide in-depth exposure on hydrogen energy, production, storage and transport to the participants, in the backdrop of India’s $2 billion hydrogen economy commitment.
The summit is envisaged to provide a deeper knowledge, covering diverse aspects of hydrogen energy to the participants from industry, academia, domain experts and government officials.
