Walmart-backed Flipkart has shut down ANS Commerce, a Gurugram-based full-stack e-commerce enabler, three years after acquiring it for ₹300 crore in 2022.

"After careful consideration, we have decided to wind down ANS Commerce. Our priority is to ensure a smooth transition for all stakeholders, including employees and customers," Flipkart stated, according to sources.

To support employees affected by the closure, Flipkart plans to offer internal job opportunities, outplacement services, and severance packages. At the end of FY22, ANS Commerce had around 600 employees, though the exact number impacted remains unclear.

Founded in 2017, ANS Commerce provided businesses with e-commerce solutions, including marketing tools and warehousing.

With this acquisition, super.money aims to expand into the checkout financing space, leveraging BharatX’s technology to meet the rising demand for credit on UPI platforms.

“This is an opportune time to enter the market, as competition in checkout financing has declined,” said Prakash Sikaria, CEO of super.money. The BharatX core team will continue leading operations for the next six months, after which the arrangement will be reassessed.
