New RuPay Credit Card feature enables users to apply for EMIs directly through UPI app. These features introduced by the National Payments Corporation of India allow users to manage credit account bill payments, installment payments, and credit limits conveniently using the app. These features will be available to users by May 31, 2024.
For users, this means they can now split their RuPay credit card purchases into manageable monthly payments using the EMI option accessible via UPI app. Additionally, they can convert past purchases into EMIs and choose the EMI option at the time of checkout, making shopping more flexible. The UPI app will also provide users with updates on their ongoing EMIs to ensure timely payments.
Users can manage credit account bill payments and installments effortlessly. A benefit of RuPay Credit Card's new EMI option is that users can make one-time payments or set up UPI Autopay for hassle-free settlement of outstanding credit card bills or credit line installments. The UPI app will display details of linked credit card outstanding bills and credit line installment details, such as minimum amount due, total amount due, and bill due date, promoting transparency and informed financial decisions.
Users will also have the option to request an increase in their credit limit directly from the issuing company through the UPI platform. This feature aims to simplify the process of managing credit lines, allowing users to adjust their financial resources according to their needs.
