HDFC Bank has announced that its UPI service will be temporarily unavailable for two days this November due to essential system maintenance. UPI, which has revolutionized digital transactions by eliminating the need to carry cash and making payments easier and safer, will not be accessible to HDFC Bank customers on November 5 and November 23.

Maintenance Dates and Times:

November 5: UPI services will be down from 12:00 am to 2:00 am.

November 23: UPI services will be unavailable from 12:00 am to 3:00 am.

Impact on Services:

During these maintenance windows, the following services will be affected:

Financial and Non-Financial UPI Transactions: This includes all transactions on HDFC Bank’s Current and Savings accounts and RuPay Credit Cards.

Mobile Banking and Payment Apps: Services on the HDFC MobileBanking app, Gpay, WhatsApp Pay, Paytm, Shriram Finance, Mobikwik, and Kredit.Pe will be interrupted for all HDFC Bank UPI users.

Merchant Transactions: All UPI transactions for merchants acquired by HDFC Bank will be unavailable.

Recent Changes in UPI Transaction Limits:

In a recent update, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) increased UPI transaction limits. The limit for UPI 123Pay transactions was raised from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000. Similarly, the UPI Lite limit, which allows for PIN-less offline transactions, has been increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000. Additionally, the transaction limit has been raised to Rs 1,000 from the previous Rs 500.
