Zypp Electric inks pact with Battery Smart

Hyderabad: Battery Smart, India's fastest-growing battery-swapping network for electric vehicles (EVs) has announced its partnership with Zypp Electric, India's leading shared electric mobility start-up. With this partnership, 2000 Zypp Electric two-wheelers will be integrated onto Battery Smart's network, so that the drivers will have seamless access to over 175 swap stations across the Delhi NCR region. A pilot of 200 vehicles is already in progress.

Battery Smart's unique battery-as-a-service model allows Zypp Electric to lower its capital expenditure while scaling operations. With zero downtime associated with swapping, Zypp's drivers can save valuable time and leverage a well-established network to swap batteries at any location - enabling them to be on the road for longer durations. Battery Smart aims to provide EV drivers access to two-minute swaps within a one km radius with zero wait time.
