Mahindra is set to expand its electric vehicle lineup with the upcoming XEV 7e, based on the popular XUV700. After introducing two new models in its EV range, the company is also focused on developing additional products for release in the near future. Recent leaks have provided key insights into the new electric SUV, including design elements and features.

The Mahindra XEV 7e will join the XEV 9e, an electrified version of the XUV700, and will carry forward the "XEV" branding. New images have revealed that the XEV 7e will feature a distinct front with a blanked-out grille, triangular LED headlamps integrated with DRLs, and updated skid plates. The vehicle will also sport contrast-colored ORVMs, LED light bars, flush door handles, and dual-tone alloy wheels, giving it a modern and sleek appearance.

Inside, the 2025 Mahindra XEV 7e will offer a range of high-tech features. A panoramic sunroof will be available, along with a three-screen display similar to the XEV 9e. The SUV will also include a dual-tone two-spoke steering wheel, electronic parking brake (EPB), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and memory functions for the powered front seats. The powered tailgate, multiple drive modes, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) will further enhance convenience and safety.

Although Mahindra has not yet disclosed the technical specifications of the XEV 7e, it is expected to be equipped with two battery options—59kWh and 79kWh. The SUV could feature either a single or dual motor setup, with the dual motor configuration potentially offering all-wheel drive (AWD) capabilities. Details regarding the performance and range of the XEV 7e will be available in the coming months.
