The Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin makes its Indian debut at Motoverse 2024.
Following its world premiere at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy, Royal Enfield made its much awaited Classic 650 Twin debut at the ongoing Motoverse 2024 in Vagator, Goa. Early in 2025, the 650cc addition to Royal Enfield's lineup is expected to make its official market debut in India. In January, test drives, bookings, and delivery will start.
Features and Design Inspiration
Taking cues from the Classic 350, the Classic 650 blends modern engineering with classic elegance. Among its recognisable design elements are the circular LED headlamp, fuel tank, and unmistakable mudguard. The bike's dual pea-shooter exhaust is a notable distinction that gives it a distinct personality when compared to its younger sister. The Classic 650 will come in a variety of striking colors, including Black Chrome, Vallum Red, Teal, and Bruntingthorpe Blue.
Engine Performance and Performance
The Classic 650's 648cc parallel-twin engine produces a maximum torque of 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm and 47 horsepower at 7,250 rpm. For smoother gear changes, the engine's 6-speed transmission features a slipper/assist clutch. Because this model shares its chassis and braking components with the Shotgun 650, it guarantees a familiar performance experience. With its retro design and modern technology, the Classic 650 aims to provide a well-balanced ride for both city and highway riding.
Technological and Safety Features
The semi-digital instrument console of the Classic 650 Twin is integrated with a Tripper navigation pod. LED illumination enhances visibility, dual-channel ABS promotes safety, and the levers can be adjusted for the comfort of the rider. The suspension is handled by 43mm Showa telescopic forks up front and twin shock absorbers at the back for a regulated and comfortable ride. With tubed tires that are 19 inches up front and 18 inches down back, the motorcycle is equipped with spoked wheels.
price and market accessibility
The Classic 650 Twin is expected to have a competitive price strategy and be positioned between the Shotgun 650 and the Super Meteor 650 in Royal Enfield's domestic portfolio. It's possible that the Classic 650's top-end model and the Super Meteor 650 entry-level model have comparable prices. For the European and UK markets, where it anticipates strong sales, Royal Enfield is already taking reservations.
Royal Enfield's Prospects
With the Classic 650 joining the 650cc family, Royal Enfield is increasing its market share both domestically and internationally. This new model is expected to appeal to a wide range of motorcycle enthusiasts looking for an elegant, versatile vehicle because of its distinctive blend of modern technology and classic flair.
