Skoda sells 6,023 cars in June, creates new record
The Czech auto manufacturer with a 2-decade legacy in India, is growing from strength to strength

Hyderabad: It's raining records at Skoda auto India, India 2.0 an endeavour that began in 2018 is bearing good fruits for the company. After breaking a decade-old record with 5,608 units (year-on-year basis) in March 2022, the company delivered 6,023 cars across India, in June 2022, a rise of 721 per cent as compared to June 2021 when it sold 734 cars. Skoda has surpassed the annual sales of 2021(23,858 units) with 28,899 units already delivered in first half of 2022.

The manufacturer's oldest nameplate, and one of India's longest-running cars in continuous production, Skoda Octavia, crossed the 1 lakh mark recently. With sedans like Octavia and Superb leading their segment, Kodiaq already sold out for the year, the India 2.0 heroes, Slavia and Kushaq are clocking in healthy numbers, the Czech auto manufacturer with a two-decade legacy in India, is growing from strength to strength.
