Maruti Suzuki, India's leading car manufacturer, has introduced a new limited-edition model of its popular hatchback, the WagonR. Named the WagonR Waltz Edition, this special variant is priced at ₹5.65 lakh (ex-showroom) and offers a range of design and feature upgrades.

Key Highlights:

Pricing: The Waltz Edition is based on the LXi trim and costs ₹10,000 more than the standard version due to its added features.

Exterior Upgrades: The car boasts a chrome-accented front grille, fog lamps, wheel arch cladding, side skirts, bumper guards, and body-side moldings.

Interior Enhancements: Inside, it features designer seat covers, new floor mats, a touchscreen infotainment system, upgraded speakers, a security system, and a reverse parking camera.

Performance and Specifications:

Engine Options: The WagonR Waltz Edition retains the standard model's mechanical setup, available with either a 1.0-litre or 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine. A CNG variant is also offered with a detuned 1.0-litre engine.

Transmission Choices: It comes with a 5-speed manual or an AMT option, while the CNG model is only available with a manual transmission.

Safety Features: The car is equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill Hold assist (for the AMT variant).

Market Performance: Since its launch in 1999, the Maruti Suzuki WagonR has been a top-seller, with over 32.5 lakh units sold in India. It crossed the 10 lakh sales mark in 2012 and reached 30 lakh units in 2023. The WagonR currently dominates the mid-hatchback segment, holding a 64% market share in FY2025, up from 61% the previous fiscal year.

The WagonR Waltz Edition arrives just in time for the festive season, offering buyers a refreshed and feature-rich version of an already beloved model.
