Mahindra is set for an action-packed 2025, with several exciting launches in the pipeline. While the brand aims to maintain its position as India’s largest SUV maker, there will be a strong emphasis on electric vehicles. The upcoming models will include both ICE and EV variants.

Here are the top 5 Mahindra SUVs to look out for in 2025:

XUV.e8 (XUV 700 EV)

One of Mahindra’s key EV launches will be the XUV.e8, an electric version of the XUV 700. The production model was showcased last year, with patent leaks surfacing earlier in 2024. Drawing design inspiration from the XUV 700, the e8 will feature a bonnet-wide DRL, headlamps mounted on the bumper, a new bumper design, and a closed-off EV grille.

The side profile mirrors the XUV 700 but with EV-specific wheels and low-resistance tyres. Flush door handles will also be a highlight. While the rear design remains a mystery, spy shots reveal a luxurious interior with a triple-screen setup, HUD with augmented reality, level 2 ADAS, ventilated seats, and more.

The e8 will ride on Mahindra's INGLO platform and offer two battery options: 60 kWh and 80 kWh. Powered by a Valeo-sourced motor, the SUV could deliver 228 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, with an expected WLTP range of around 450 km. The e8 is set to debut in December 2024, with sales starting in 2025.

Thar Roxx Petrol 4x4

Currently available in both petrol and diesel versions, the Mahindra Thar Roxx’s petrol variant is expected to receive 4x4 capability in 2025. While details are limited, this update will further enhance the Thar’s off-roading potential.

XUV 3XO EV

Mahindra is developing an electric version of the XUV 3XO, which will maintain the same dimensions as the ICE model but feature EV-specific design tweaks. Positioned below the XUV400, the XUV 3XO EV will likely sport a 34.5 kWh battery and offer competitive pricing when it launches in early 2025.

XUV 700 Facelift

A facelift for the popular XUV 700 is also in the works. The refreshed model will boast design upgrades, including new headlamps, DRLs, grille, and bumpers. Interior updates will include a redesigned steering wheel, a revamped dashboard, and additional features. Expect significant improvements inspired by the e8.

BE.05

One of Mahindra’s most anticipated electric SUVs, the BE.05, is expected to launch in January 2025. Based on the INGLO platform, the BE.05 will offer both RWD and AWD options. The entry-level variant is rumoured to produce 231 bhp and 380 Nm, with a more powerful version delivering 286 bhp and 535 Nm. Capable of a 0-100 kph sprint in 5 seconds, the BE.05 will be Mahindra’s fastest SUV to date, with two battery options: 60 kWh and 79 kWh.
