New Delhi | April 15, 2025: On the occasion of World Art Day, Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), proudly announced the launch of the 5th Season of its flagship art initiative, 'Hyundai Art for Hope.' Since its inception in 2021, the program has become a transformative platform for emerging artists, enabling creative expression and fostering inclusive cultural growth.

Hyundai Art for Hope - Season 5 opens applications starting May 1, 2025, through the official website—hyundaiartforhope.com. In this new season, HMIF will support 50 talented artists and art collectives from across India with financial grants, professional mentorship, and a national stage to showcase their work.

Commenting on the commencement of 'Art for Hope—Season 5,' Mr. Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head - Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communication & Social, HMIL, said, "There’s no better occasion than World Art Day to celebrate the power of creativity. The 'Art for Hope' program has grown into a platform that not only supports artists but also uplifts communities and preserves our shared cultural legacy. With Season 5, we renew our heartfelt commitment to encourage artists and help them champion their respective art forms, thereby inspiring change and reflecting the vibrant spirit of India."

Besides providing financial assistance, the program further extends social, emotional, and professional recognition, enabling artists to build sustainable careers across diverse disciplines, including varied art forms like visual, folk, tribal, performing, digital, and more. Over the past four seasons, 'Art for Hope' has directly benefitted over 150 artists with INR 1.65 crore in grants and supported over 25,000 artists through workshops, exhibitions, and skill-building opportunities.

Grant Details:

  • Individual Grants: 40 grants of INR 1 Lakh each for individuals and teams, including persons with disabilities
  • Institutional Grants: 10 grants of INR 2 Lakh each for art collectives and institutions

Application Categories:

  • Visual Art: All forms of drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media that do not involve digital intervention
  • Digital Art: Photography, new media art, filmmaking, multimedia, and digital art created using technology
  • Performing Art: Music, movement art and other performing art forms
  • Traditional Art & Culture: Folk arts and crafts of India, including folk musicians, performers, and research/artisan empowerment programs
  • Functional Innovative Art & Craft: Projects focused on sustainable, eco-friendly, or utilitarian product innovations using craft

Multidisciplinary Art: Collaboration of artists from multiple disciplines working together on a project
