Andhra University has come out with a comprehensive Intellectual Property (IP) Policy 2021 for the first time to be implemented in all colleges under its jurisdiction.

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University has come out with a comprehensive Intellectual Property (IP) Policy 2021 for the first time to be implemented in all colleges under its jurisdiction.

The policy was released during the APSCHE board meeting held in the Executive Council Hall of AU on Sunday.

Prof Hema Chandra Reddy, Chairman, APSCHE in the presence of Prof PVGD Prasad Reddy, Vice Chancellor of AU and Prof M Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM-Visakhapatnam.

Prof K Ram Mohan Rao, Vice Chairman, APSCHE, Prof V Krishna Mohan, Registrar, and Prof H Purushotham, DPIIT-IPR Chair Professor, Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, AU were present. Prof Hema Chandra Reddy complimented AU for bringing out the IPR policy and said it can be adopted by other State Universities in Andhra Pradesh.

Board members from APSCHE, Vice Chancellors and Directors of many State and Central Universities were also present at the meeting.

The IPR policy was brought out by the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR), AU. The policy is expected to promote IPR culture in AU.
