KTR lays stone for Women Entrepreneurs International Trade and Technology Centre

Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP) has been sanctioned with the first of its kind marketing hub – Women Entrepreneurs International Trade and Technology Centre (WE ITTC) at A-GRIP, Nandigama, Patancheru Mandal, Sangareddy District under MSE CDP Scheme with the support from Ministry of MSME, GoI and the Government of Telangana.

Hyderabad Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP) has been sanctioned with the first of its kind marketing hub – Women Entrepreneurs International Trade and Technology Centre (WE ITTC) at A-GRIP, Nandigama, Patancheru Mandal, Sangareddy District under MSE CDP Scheme with the support from Ministry of MSME, GoI and the Government of Telangana.

Under the Chairmanship of Sheela Bhide, WE ITTC promotes the trade and technology among women entrepreneurs from India, SAARC & ASEAN countries. Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) ALEAP WE Hub supported by Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) NITI Aayog, GoI; MEITY, GoI; Startup India, GoI and the MSME Champion Scheme of the Ministry of MSME, GoI for promotion of innovative, tech & DPIIT registered startups and MSMEs. At present, it has 90 innovative startups incubated at the incubation centre.

Telangana Industries Minister K T Rama Rao was the chief guest for the occasion of laying the foundation stone of this marketing hub WE ITTC in Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “We must promote inclusivity as this is the best time to be an entrepreneur in India. Private-public partnership is very critical for real growth. There are five revolutions simultaneously taking form in Telangana. Green Revolution, where Telangana’s farming segment is touching new heights of success; Blue Revolution, under which the fisheries are raising their standards under Mission Kakatiya; Pink Revolution whereby Telangana is emerging as the top state in livestock; White Revolution wherein dairy product range is both qualitatively and quantitatively growing; and Yellow Revolution, where edible oils production is on the rise. In that context being an entrepreneur has lot of possibilities in Telangana, given its business policies, infrastructure and support to really build world class products. And ALEAP with its innovative avenues is definitely a great contributor.”

D Chandra Sekhar, Addl. Development Commissioner, MSME Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Government of India, Ministry of MSME, Hyderabad, said, “Telangana is the only State to have a marketing hub. WE ITTC is a prestigious project and it has the potential to go a long way and emerge into a one-stop-shop for all women entrepreneurs.”

Rama Devi Kanneganti, President, ALEAP, Chairperson & CEO, AIC ALEAP WE Hub and Sr Vice Chairperson, WE ITTC said, “Starting from five entrepreneurs three decades ago, ALEAP has today 10,000+ entrepreneurs emerging from its echelons. People from other states and cities have shifted to Hyderabad to set up their business because of the support we offered to start-ups. Our vision is to make the ‘Make in India’ campaign a real possibility. And take this revolution to the rural women by giving them digital training. We are thankful to Government of Telangana and the Government at the Centre for their continuous support and guidance.”

The event also witnessed the felicitation of one of the innovative startups promoted by AIC ALEAP WE HUB, Autocracy Machinery Private Limited represented by its CEO & Co Founder Santoshi Budhiraja, who earned $1 million funding from AIM, NITI Aayog & Venture Catalyst.

Veena, Chief Incubation Officer, ALEAP WE Hub, said, “AIC Aleap WE Hub could support over 90 startups generating over 600 jobs. Our incubation centre has manufacturing facilities in seven different sectors and we could work with some of the brightest minds.”

As part of the event, few innovative startups supported by AIC ALEAP WE HUB, have also been felicitated with graduation certificates.

Dr Jyothi Pidikiti, Vice Chairperson, WE ITTC, said, “WE ITTC will primarily support women entrepreneurs with marketing their products on an international stage. It will help foster sustainability and enhance competitiveness. They will get consultancy in building their brand and take their products to the world.”
