Acting in her blood, Alankrita wants to make it big with movies

She has already acted in two soon-to-be-released movies and bagged an opportunity as a lead role in the very reputed daily soap– Kumkuma Puvvu

Mumbai: Many passionate and hardworking actors are trying their luck to survive in this huge ocean named – 'The Film Industry'. Here is one of the passionate, determined and confident actor who's all set to bang the industry with her awesome acting skills.

Alankrita Shah has done her acting course from the reputed college – Annapurna College of Film and Media (Hyderabad). Within a span of 1 year, she has already acted in two soon-to-be-released movies and bagged an opportunity as a lead role in the very reputed daily soap– Kumkuma Puvvu which is currently on air on Star Maa under the banner of Annapurna Studios.

About her films, she said she is passionate about her work. No sooner than she completed her course in Annapurna College did she grab the lead roles in two movies and a serial. She is eagerly waiting for the movies to show up on the big screen. She is ecstatic about her appearance in the serial.

Talking to Bizz Buzz, she says, "I am truly amazed to be a part of this daily soap. It's an honor to work with many experienced and senior actors. I get to learn a lot from them." She was complimented for her confidence and acting prowess.

Born and brought up in Hyderabad, Alankrita did her graduation in Bachelors in Design - School of Fashion Technology, Pune. After her graduation, she wasn't eager to take up the monotonous or unexciting regular jobs. She said, "I am very fortunate to have wonderful parents in my life. My father is a Professor in School of Design, DY Patil International University, Pune, whereas mother is a Senior Secondary teacher. They always supported me in every step of my life. After my graduation, I told them I am not interested in doing 9-5 jobs but I want to do something that makes me happy. I like to do something that is challenging and creative. They weren't shocked when, one day, I told them that I want to try my luck in movies. They only said that I needed some training in acting. So, I flew to Hyderabad to join Annapurna College of Film and Media. That's how I landed in this industry."

She got an opportunity to showcase her talent when she took part in a Beauty Pageant in Pune and surprisingly stood as the winner of the contest. That was her turning point in life. She walked the ramps, did modelling shoots, jewellery shoots, and bridal shoots. While working as an Assistant Manager and graphic designer in a production company, Alankrita learnt many things, also assisted the director for a Hindi web series. Having fallen in love with acting; she decided to make acting her profession.

Since childhood, she was encouraged to take part in school annual day celebrations, and other events. She learnt classical dance – Bharatnatyam -basics for 2 years when she was in school. She also learnt other dance forms (basics) while pursuing her graduation. Did a 2 month certificate course in 'Bolly – Hop' from Shiamak Davar Dance Institute, Pune.

She says if she gets good offers in other language films, she will definitely accept. Her inspiration/role models are her parents. She has lots of dreams. She has been approached by noted film production houses. Her future plan is to debut in Bollywood too.

"As an actor, I am so overjoyed to be a part of this industry. I am still a novice in this field; I have a long way to go," she proudly states.
