Earlier this week, Vedanta Ltd informed the stock exchanges that its acting chief financial officer Ajay Goel had resigned. He will leave his post on April 9.
The board of directors has accepted Goel's resignation and lauded his efforts as the company's acting CFO and key managerial personnel.
It was noted in the regulatory filing that the board took note of Ajay Goel's resignation from the post of acting chief financial officer (CFO) and key managerial personnel (KMP) of the company effective April 09, 2023.
Goel, who was associated with Vedanta since March 2021, has resigned "to pursue a career outside of the group", it added.
"The company and board placed on record its appreciation for the commitment and contribution made by him during his tenure and wish him the very best for his future endeavours," Vedanta stated.

The company added that it will announce the details of Goel's successor in "due course".
The board of Vedanta also approved a fifth interim dividend, amounting to Rs 7,621 crore for fiscal year 2022-23, earlier in the day. Dividends will be paid on April 7 based on the record date.
The shares of Vedanta, in the trading session on March 28, settled at Rs 274 at the stock market, which was around 1.50 percent higher than the previous day's close.
