It will merge the current e-filing portal, UTIITSL portal, and Protean e-Gov portal into a unified, paperless system. This new platform will handle all PAN and TAN (Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number) services, such as applications, updates, Aadhaar-PAN linking, corrections, and validations.

Key Features of PAN 2.0
Unified Portal: PAN services will now be available on a single platform, making it easier to access all PAN-related services like allotment, correction, Aadhaar-PAN linking, and more.
Paperless Process: PAN card-related procedures will be fully online, eliminating the need for physical paperwork. This includes free allotment and updates of PAN, with e-PAN being delivered directly to your email. A physical card can still be requested for ₹50 (domestic), and delivery charges apply for overseas requests.
Improved Technology: The integration of advanced technology will make the PAN management system more efficient and secure, ensuring quicker processing times.
