YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia has issued a public apology following widespread backlash over his remarks during a roast show. Acknowledging his lapse in judgment, he admitted, "Comedy is not my forte", and stated that his comments were inappropriate and not humorous.

In a video message posted on X, Allahbadia expressed regret, saying, "I shouldn't have said what I said on India's Got Latent. I'm sorry." He emphasized that he had no intention of using his platform in this manner and refrained from offering justifications, instead focusing solely on his apology.

"The podcast is watched by people of all ages, and I don’t want to take that responsibility lightly. Family is the last thing I would ever disrespect," he added. He also assured viewers that the insensitive portions of the video would be removed and promised to be more mindful moving forward.

The controversy erupted after a clip from the show went viral, featuring Allahbadia asking a contestant an inappropriate question. Social media users heavily criticized him, leading to multiple police complaints. Politicians across party lines, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, condemned the remark, stating that freedom of speech has its limits and that action would be taken if boundaries were crossed.
