South superstar Vijay Sethupathi has reportedly been approached to play a significant role in The Family Man Season 3, following the success of the second season. Directors Raj and DK are eager to cast Vijay in the upcoming installment and have already approached the versatile actor for the role. However, Vijay Sethupathi is yet to confirm his participation in the project.
This is not the first time the director duo approached Vijay Sethupathi for The Family Man series. They had previously approached him for the role of a Lankan militant in The Family Man Season 2, but the Master antagonist declined the offer and recommended Mime Gopi for the part.
The Family Man Season 2 has received widespread acclaim for its compelling storytelling and the stellar performances of the cast. Fans are eagerly anticipating the third season, which is rumored to involve Chinese infringements set in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In an interview, Raj and DK revealed that they have a concept and foundation in place for The Family Man 3 but are currently gathering audience feedback to understand what worked and what didn't. They acknowledged being behind schedule but emphasized the importance of considering the audience's response while developing the storyline. Raj Nidimoru mentioned, "We have the world in place, we have the concept, we have an idea, and the foundation to some extent. But we're still developing the story. This time, we're actually seeing the feedback, and there's a deluge of it. We need to regroup, clear our heads, and sit and start writing it so that we're not too influenced but are still cognizant of what was great and what was not."
