Sukumar’s Home Raided as IT Investigates Pushpa 2's Income

The Income Tax (IT) Department’s ongoing raids in Hyderabad have intensified over the past two days, focusing on the residences and offices of prominent Tollywood figures and their associates. On Wednesday, IT officials turned their attention to the residence of Sukumar, the director behind the widely successful Pushpa 2 movie, following similar operations targeting the offices of renowned producers Dil Raju and Mythri Movies.

Sukumar, who had just arrived at the airport, was escorted directly by the IT officials to his residence for questioning. The investigations are primarily centered around verifying the financial transactions and remuneration details related to the blockbuster Pushpa 2. Officials are scrutinizing the paperwork, looking for discrepancies or evidence of undisclosed income linked to the film's production.

This latest wave of IT raids comes in the wake of major box-office successes.
