"Stree 2" Box Office Update on Day 6: Heads Towards Rs 300 Crore in India

"Stree 2," the horror comedy starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has been a box office hit since its release. By its first Tuesday, the film had surpassed the Rs 250 crore mark in net collections in India. The movie earned Rs 8.5 crore from its preview shows, followed by Rs 51.8 crore on its opening day. It continued its strong performance with Rs 31.4 crore on day 2, Rs 43.85 crore on day 3, Rs 55.9 crore on day 4, Rs 38.1 crore on day 5, and approximately Rs 25 crore on day 6.

According to trade portal Sacnilk, as of its first Tuesday, "Stree 2" had a total box office collection of Rs 254.55 crore. The film is now aiming for the Rs 300 crore milestone at the Indian box office.

While Raj Kumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's latest release is achieving impressive success, Khel Mein and Vedaa—both of which released alongside "Stree 2"—are struggling to make a mark. Both films are having difficulty reaching the Rs 20 crore threshold at the Indian box office. Khel Khel Mein has collected Rs 5.05 crore on its first day, Rs 2.05 crore on its second day, Rs 3.1 crore on its third day, Rs 3.85 crore on its fourth day, Rs 2 crore on its fifth day, and approximately Rs 1.10 crore on its sixth day, bringing its total net collection to Rs 17.15 crore.

Vedaa, on the other hand, is approaching a near-total washout at the box office. The John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh-starring commercial action film earned Rs 6.3 crore on its opening day, Rs 1.8 crore on its second day, Rs 2.7 crore on its third day, Rs 3.2 crore on its fourth day, Rs 1.5 crore on its fifth day, and about Rs 0.60 crore on its sixth day. As of its first Tuesday, the film's total box office collection in India stands at Rs 16.10 crore. Both Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein were released alongside "Stree 2" on August 15.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, "Stree 2" follows Vicky and his friends as they strive to protect Chanderi from a headless creature that abducts women. The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee in key roles.
